As we get ready for Turkey slaughter day over here, I thought I would pass an advisory on matters food related:

You'd never would have guessed that those things got into such shenanigans, would you now?

Watch the animation first; and in case your Japanese is a tad rusty, look below for the abridged storyline in English:

It's like this: Kikkoman is Japan's most popular brand of soy sauce. This animation is a superhero spoof on the brand name. Kikkoman bears the Kikkoman logo on his chest, and his head resembles the little fish-shaped soy sachet found in bento boxes. In the video Kikkoman comes from the land of Soy to show his superiority to other sauces such as vinegar and ketchup (here spelled "Heints"). He beats them all to a pulp. However, it's not easy being Kikkoman. When a cat is indecisive about which sauce to put on her eggs, Kikkoman insists she should use soy. But the cat doesn't listen to the advice she is given and tries a different sauce instead. When she realises her mistake she hangs herself in disgrace.

There you have it folks - a day in the life of Kikko-man!

Oh, and once you are done eating all that fried food with salty soy sauce, don't forget to take your "little purple pill that could". After all, my job future (and potential millions) depends on it.

Ciao, eh?
